“Keystone Overlook” Honors David Clarke

The Keystone Overlook Memorial is dedicated to the legacy of David “Dave” Clarke, past President & CEO of Carolina Caring, formerly Catawba Regional Hospice, who was instrumental in building Carolina Caring into the strong organization it is today. Dave was always there for his employees and community - giving back more than expected in all facets of his life. This memorial serves not only to remind us of Dave, but also to inspire us to always give more than expected, living life serving others with compassion every day.

When constructing something of significance, the keystone is the final piece that locks all other pieces into place. Without this last piece, the structure would not have the strength to stand. The same can be said for Dave Clarke and Carolina Caring. Dave was the keystone to the success of Carolina Caring. His legacy of commitment to excellence, compassion, and servant leadership was demonstrated throughout his life, which is what truly makes him a "keystone" in making everything else come together.

The staff at Carolina Caring has an incredible vision to build the Keystone Overlook, which will include a pavilion and walking trail at the top of Carolina Caring's property that our staff, patients, and their families may benefit from. When one reaches the top of this property, it feels as if Dave Clarke continues to watch over them.
