Find Help for A Serious Illness
Living with a serious illness often brings stress, pain and other symptoms that can be challenging to manage. Palliative medicine providers can help.
Will Palliative Care Replace My Family Doctor?
Palliative care providers do not replace your regular doctor but rather provide an extra layer of support designed to bring you relief and comfort. They work alongside your primary care physician to improve care coordination and communication among all your providers and family members.
How is Palliative Care Different Than Hospice?
Both palliative care and hospice provide comfort, but palliative care can begin as soon as a patient is diagnosed with a serious illness and can be provided even if a patient continues to seek curative treatments. Hospice begins when it becomes clear that a patient will not survive an illness.
